Angels and demons serve God's purposes (Job 38:1-7 & 1:6) God is demonstrating His character to angels and demons through His work saving humanity (Ephesians 2:9-12) The enemy has a consistent pattern of attack (Genesis 3): Disguise → dialogue → doubt → denial → deliberation → death The enemy's target is to claim our hearts by reshaping our thoughts. Distort or deny God’s truth Discredit the testimony of God’s people Depress or destroy our enthusiasm for God’s work Dilute the effectiveness of God’s people Our fight is to stand firm in what Jesus has said and done (Ephesians 6:10-20) Jesus has disarmed every opponent by his crucifixion (Colossians 2:13-15) Our unseen spiritual battle is to stand anchored on Jesus' truth and work. What credit do we wrongfully give to Satan and his demons? What thought patterns regularly draw us away from trusting God’s truth? Are we trusting Jesus to bring us into His victory over our true enemies?
